Northrop Grumman has world-class facilities in Grand Sky and New Town, North Dakota. Grand Sky is the most recent major facility in the area and is a premier, innovative one-of-a-kind site that specializes in Aircraft Operations, Mission Engineering, Integrated Logistics, and Software Sustainment. The facility is located in Emerado, North Dakota and is a Joint Use Agreement between the Grand Forks Air Force Base and Grand Forks County. The Grand Sky facility works closely with local Academia, Economic Development, government and military customers to provide first time quality products to support the autonomous industry.

Life in North Dakota
North Dakota’s Grand Forks and New Town have it all – from the changing seasons to over 50 miles of hiking trails and outdoor activities. Enjoy the local farmer’s market, music festivals, art and wine walks in town, as well as mutton busting rodeos and competitions. Take a stroll down to the historic district of Grand Forks that is full of historic buildings and pocket parks, highlighting a combination of historic and modern. The area also has local archaeological sites for all to enjoy, such as the Knife River Indian Village.
The New Town area is known for its hunting and fishing spots, and a casino that is constantly hosting events. The scenery is beautiful, especially by the lake and there’s always something to do outdoors. Because of the oil boom, our small community is constantly growing but the people remain the same; helpful, friendly, and giving.
North Dakota also has the great outdoors to offer – visit any of the nearby state parks, all within a two-hour drive from the city center. Lake cabins are favorite for summer and winter enjoyment, as well as a visit to Pembina Gorge for a weekend of skiing and snowboarding.
